What a great day! With nearly perfect weather, the RROC Georgia chapter met for brunch and camaraderie at the well-known popular Atlanta restaurant, "The Horseradish Grill." Our lunch gathering was scheduled on Saturday, June 18th, the same day as the popular "Royal Ascot" horse racing event in the UK. Hence, the theme of the day was Ascot and we staged our very own version of the quirky high fashion tradition of having members select their most stylish hat to wear to the restaurant for this occasion. One of our guests, Sue Goddard, won the "best hat" award and was presented with a book on the history of the Royal Ascot event as her prize, perhaps much more information than she might ever care to acquire, but nonetheless, fun times were center stage and good food and conversation were served to all.

After lunch, several members opted to drive a short distance, only a half block, to the Chastain Horse Park for a photo-op at the stables that could be easily confused with a calendar shoot. The lovely surroundings and the quiet dignity of the horses in their stable provided an idyllic backdrop for photos that showcased the member cars in a unique and elegant manner.
