British Car Fayre

Norcross, Georgia

The 2023 Annual Atlanta British Car Fayre will display over 400 British cars and motorcycles on the streets of Historic Downtown Norcross, Georgia, from 10 AM to 3 PM. Downtown Norcross businesses and vendors will be offering British-themed food, beverages, and products.

Register on British Car Fayre’s website to display a car or motorcycle for the event. The event is free for spectators.

This event has traditionally been well attended by RROC members.

Our region has made arrangements with the Iron Horse Tavern this year to save us a bit of space at 2pm so that we can gather at the tavern and tell stories during the show. The Iron Horse Tavern is pretty much in the heart of the action for the British Car Fayre event. As such, I wouldn’t expect any parking at the tavern excepting those that have signed up for the event. The address is 29 Jones St NW, Norcross, GA 30071.

May Meet

Flat Rock, North Carolina

Highland Lake Inn & Resort, which encompasses a wide range of enticing benefits and accommodations, is the venue for our Spring Meet. Poised atop 26 scenic acres on a private lake in the town of Flat Rock, NC, in Western North Carolina, the venue delivers an authentic mountain experience that’s vast and varied.

Note the Southeast Region is not having its traditional Memorial Day Judging Meet over Memorial Day weekend due to the proximity of a National Tour and the National Meet in Nashville, TN, in June. We are holding a Judging Meet (and the Business Meeting) in early November in conjunction with a National mini-meet and the Hilton Head Island Concours. Timing for the Spring Meet facilitates participation by members who are joining the National Tour.

FRIDAY
Gather in the Lodge for a casual reception with substantial snacks. BYOB.
Dinner (if needed) on your own in Seasons (must book ahead)

SATURDAY

Southeast Region with the Winston-Salem Cars & Coffee

July 12-14, 2024

Cars & Coffee Weekend

Winston-Salem, North Carolina

Join fellow Rolls-Royce Owners’ Club Southeast Region members to celebrate Charles Stewart Rolls (Born August 28, 1877, died July 12, 1910), British motorist, aviator and automobile manufacturer. Rolls drove a 12-horsepower Panhard car in the Thousand Miles Trial of 1900 and took part in many of the early long-distance European classic races. In 1902 he became a motor dealer and in 1906 merged his firm with that of Sir Henry Royce to form Rolls-Royce Ltd.

He was the first aviator to fly across the English Channel and back nonstop (June 1910). On the 114 anniversary of his death in a flying accident, we will gather on Friday evening at a member’s home for a tribute to Rolls. We’ll have a casual reception (BYOB) and dinner followed by a backyard challenge flying balsa wood glider stunt planes and propeller powered planes (everyone will receive a plane).

On Saturday morning, we’ll drive over to the South East Center for Contemporary Arts (SECCA) for the monthly Cars and Coffee Car Show. They are featuring Rolls-Royce and Bentleys this day. After the show, we’ll caravan along the back roads to the Harvest Grill at Shelton Vineyards for lunch (order and pay on your own).

After lunch, we return to Winston-Salem. The member’s house and garage will be open to all. We’ll end the evening with a dinner at Little Richards Bar-N-Que Restaurant, just around the corner from the Holiday Inn Express. See the February 9 eBonnet in the Members Only section of the website for more information.
